Longest heating season

Longest heating season

We end the heating season when our customers tell us to. This is how we have been operating for many years and there is probably no one who still remembers the times when the end of the heating season was set arbitrarily by decision-makers. This year radiators stayed warm exceptionally long – as we only turned down the heat on 1 June, which makes this year’s heating season as much as 18 days longer than last year. No wonder, as the average outdoor temperature this year was 4.6 degrees Celsius, i.e. over 2 degrees colder than at the same time of 2019.

The longer heating season was not only a result of the colder May – due to the pandemic, most #SEC customers stayed at home.
