RES-DHC project<\/h2>\n

The RES-DHC project consists of renewable energy sources (RES) in the district heating and cooling (DHC) sector. Its main objective is to support the transformation of existing district heating systems to RES in the six participating regions, thereby obtaining \u2013 on the basis of practical cases \u2013 technical and organisational solutions for transformation processes.<\/p>\n

The main pillar of the project is the close-to-the-market implementation of concrete actions and measures by regional consortia of stakeholders in six regions (Germany, Austria, Italy, Poland, France and Switzerland).<\/p>\n<\/div>

A key branch of it is the organisation and transnational support provided by an international team with complementary knowledge and competences, coordinated by Danish experts who are also project partners. The specific activities of the RES-DHC project largely respond to the challenges of market uptake, e.g. large-scale introduction of RES, stakeholder engagement, assessment of the legal and policy framework and the environmental, economic and social impacts of RES-DHC solutions.<\/p>\n<\/div>

In Poland, in the West Pomeranian Province, we have developed a technical and economic concept for the decarbonisation of the heating system in Po\u0142czyn Zdr\u00f3j. The preparation of a concept for the removal of coal-based sources and their replacement with renewable energy sources will also serve as a basis for further actions towards the decarbonisation of other heating systems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
