Source of funding: funds from the European Regional Development Fund through the Implementing Authority – National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management launched under the Sectoral Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2007 – 2013.

Project objectives:

  • upgrading the infrastructure to increase the quality and efficiency of heat production,
  • adapting heat plants to new environmental norms and standards for reducing air emissions,
  • reducing the demand for electricity.

Benefits of the Project:

  • improving environmental norms and standards,
  • ensuring the profitability of the heating system,
  • provision of a year-round hot water supply for customers supplied directly from the district heating network thanks to year-round operation of the district heating plant. 

Scope of tasks completed:

  • refurbishment of existing boiler,
  • installation of a new boiler with a thermal output of 8 MW,
  • installation of a new flue gas dedusting system,
  • construction of a new dust and slag transport system,
  • construction of a new thermal-hydraulic system with the installation of new circulation and boiler pumps,
  • construction of an automation system,
  • construction of a new water treatment plant for technological needs.
