Project objectives:

  • increase in security of supply of district heat,
  • improving air quality in Szczecin and the region,
  • reducing heat energy losses in the distribution process to consumers,

Benefits of the Project:

  • improving the quality of life in the city of Szczecin and its immediate surroundings,
  • reducing carbon dioxide emissions from Szczecin’s combined heat and power plants by approximately 12,000 tonnes per year,
  • reducing the number of district heating failures arising in Szczecin,

Scope of tasks completed:

  • reconstruction of worn-out sections of underground (ducted) thermal network with a total length of over 21.2 km, to modern ones in pre-insulated pipe technology,
  • replacement of thermal insulation on overhead network sections with a total length of over 6.5 km.
