Application

The completed and complete application for the determination of the conditions for connection to the district heating network, together with the attachments, should be submitted to the SEC.

Documents

.
Submitted documents are checked for correct completion and completeness of the application and annexes. The date of submission is the date on which a correctly completed and complete application is received by the SEC. If deficiencies or irregularities are found, the applicant will be asked to correct and/or complete the application – only the corrected forms can be considered for merit.

Analysis of the application

In the next stage, SEC analyses the application in order to ascertain whether the technical and economic conditions for connecting the facility to the district heating network exist. In the event of a positive opinion, the SEC determines the requirements for connection to the district heating network, which are sent in writing to the applicant.

Connection process

If the technical and/or economic conditions for connection are not met, SEC may refuse to provide the service. The applicant and the President of the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) will be notified of this. The connection process begins after the contract is concluded and may take
up to 12 months.

Conditions for connection

The determination of connection conditions is free of charge and their validity lasts for 2 years from the date of issue.

Contract

.
SEC prepares, agrees and signs a connection agreement with the customer, which specifies, among other things, the obligations of the parties, the scope of work, deadlines, SEC’s title to the property (in particular the so-called transmission easement) and the amount of the connection fee and the manner of its payment.

Design work and implementation

The signed connection agreement is the basis for the commencement of design work and implementation of the connection of the facility to the district heating network.

Start-up of heat supply

.
A contract for the sale of heat and the provision of transmission services must be concluded or updated before the heat supply can be started.

Once all works under the connection contract have been completed and the heat meter has been accepted by the SEC, the heat supply to the connected building may be started at the request of the customer.
