Source of funding: funds from the European Regional Development Fund and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management mobilised under the Sectoral Operational Programme – Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises.

Project objectives:

  • upgrading the infrastructure to increase the quality and efficiency of heat production,
  • adapting heat plants to restrictive environmental norms and standards for reducing air emissions,

Benefits of the Project:

  • improving environmental norms and standards, including achieving an average dust removal plant efficiency of 95%2,
  • ensuring trouble-free system operation and improve the performance of the heat carrier,
  • ensuring the profitability of the heating system.

Scope of tasks completed:

  • modernization of two existing boilers in terms of installation of economizers, reconstruction of the dust removal system and the dust and slag transport system,
  • installation of a new boiler,
  • upgrading the circulating water treatment plant in the network and heating equipment to protect the system against corrosion,
  • installation of an installation for continuous monitoring of gas and dust emissions into the atmosphere,
  • reconstruction of over 1 km of district heating network along Łubinowa Street in Szczecin,
  • modernisation of 16 heat substations located on the housing estates: Słoneczne, Majowe and Bukowe.
