Project SEC in the city
The aim of the project is to provide heating for Szczecin. With a view to ensuring clean air and the health of residents, in cooperation with property managers and, of course, residents, we want to reach those parts of our city that are still heated in an environmentally unfriendly way.
Our country is suffocating with smog
We started the project in December 2020 because winter is the time when our country is suffocated by smog. The way households are supplied with heat has a huge impact on our air quality. Only 30% of heat is generated by district heating systems, the rest is generated by individual heating systems. And although our beautiful city is not at the top of the infamous list of cities with the most smog, we still need to do what we can to improve air quality.
Connection to district heating network
That is why we are reaching out to building managers, but above all to residents, and offering them the opportunity to connect to the municipal heating network on favourable terms. This means that spaces in Szczecin that are heated in an environmentally unfriendly manner will be able to connect to our network with investment-level financial support.
Reliability and continuity
District heating guarantees users safety and comfort throughout the year. Reliability and continuity of operation are ensured by heat suppliers. Thanks to high standards related to production and supply, this type of heating is also safe for the natural environment.
Moreover, system heat is one of the cheapest and most price-stable forms of heating. The price of heat is regulated by the Energy Regulatory Office (URE). Investment costs are also attractive to the investor.
